Agarwal Packers and Movers

23A/661A, Tollygunge Circular Road, "O" Block, New Alipore Kolkata – 700 053, West Bengal, India

I have hired Agarwal Movers and Packers many times but I think there service has gone down over the year. They are no longer the same professional and caring movers and packers that I had seen previously. Some points to consider - The staff they send now is mostly uneducated and untrained now.. this was not the 5 years ago. - One major thing to notice is lack of English speaking work force.. You call they Hyderabad office and the guy/gal at the other end would hardly understand what you said.. This also points to lower quality staff allover.. I am not saying that English speaking would make you better in customer care , but atleat you feel more comfortable talking to them. - The quality of packing has gone down drastically.. Earlier they did very good packing even for local moves. Now they are like any local movers and packers.. trying to cut corners and save packing material. My last experience with them was horrible.. may things were damaged and boxes were lost. However to my utter dismay they simply refused to hear - and the language they use is filthy . Off course I was angry too - because of the damage and loss, but instead of hearing to me the guy on the other end simply started shouting at me.. and said many bad thing. I never used any bad language but I thought they were sure that I would not be able to take any legal action anyway.. not easy to do so in India. -Finally they had promised that someone will come to do the Survey and I will be paid for missing items.. that day never came. And last but not least - they stopped picking my phone call to their cell phones.. Overall all very bad - I would not recommed them anymore.

I had used agarwal packers first in 2006 september while moving from Goa to Bhopal and I was really impressed. Every thing was top class-Packing, attitude of staff etc. though they took 5 extra days to reach Bhopal I was happy getting all my house hold as it was. Now I moved from Lucknow to Goa and they were useless. Right from Packing ( substandard material nad process), procedure to record and then to pick up the goods. It took 12 days to reach my household as against approx 7 days as conveyed to me coz it was a sharing consignment as I never had enough belongings for full load neither I wanted to pay bomb. Nevertheless I Got my things finally and to our surprise ply woods were missing of our twin bed, then we come to know that Dinner set is broken along with our glassare. We spoke to the local office and they said they will do something about it. Till date nothing is happened. Further to our surprise we found at last that our one suitcase is missing which had all our warm cloths for the family( not to blame them as we did not realise it while delivery) but the guys of this reputation we take things for guaranteed to be right. I am very upset and unhappy about the same and will never use services in future.

I was moving from Bangalore to Hyderabad towards end of February 2008. Based on feedback and recommendations from my friends and acquaintances, I shortlisted Agarwal and Leo Packers and Movers. I took quotes from both (interestingly, they matched very closely!) and finally decided to go with Agarwal because of their larger scale of business and word-of-mouth referral from a friend. The sales, quotation and appointment setting were all smooth. On the day of the move, the guys arrived nearly on time and went about their business quite efficiently. Everything was packed and loaded into the moving truck well within the promised time. Since I had opted for the complete insurance, in the insurance declaration form, the loading officer recommended declaring the value of good as Rs one lakh. The interesting piece was this guy entered the value of the individual items on his own. So this is the note to the readers: Please take the time out to enter the value of individual items yourself - even if you are under pressure to fill up and sign the paperwork fast. On the receiving side at Hyderabad, the truck arrived as per the promised time. The unloading crew was efficient and had the stuff unloaded, unpacked and placed in respective locations within reasonable time. However, one of the study tables was quite well smashed. We realized that it was made of particle board and the best way to pack it would have been to dis-assemble and pack the constituents separately. This has been purchased from LifeStyle (Bangalore) for Rs 8100 in year 2004. On checking the insurance declaration form, I realized that the loading officer had entered Rs 3000 as its value. While the replacement cost would be around Rs 8100+, I took solace in the fact that after depreciation, possibly even Rs 3000 was not a bad valuation. The delivery guys recorded the damage in the receiving / acknowledgement form and advised me to contact their claims division. The fun began from that point onwards! A carpenter was sent after a few days to check if there was any possibility of repairing the table. He agreed that the table was beyond any repair. Based on his report, the claims person told me over phone that they will be glad to reimburse the amount of Rs 1000 for the table. On point out the fact that the value (which was entered by their own person) was Rs 3000, she gave some reasons around depreciating Rs 3000 to represent the current value. Over the next few days, we kept going back and forth and finally they were generous enough to raise the amount to Rs 1200 and finally Rs 1500. By this time, the issue had become more of principle, rather than the money involved. We took recourse to legal assistance and sent over a notice to the company office, mentioning an intent to go to the Consumer Court. The claims person called up shortly after that and tried to negotiate at Rs 2000. We redirected the discussion to our legal counsel. Eventually after few more rounds of going back and forth, we were finally able to get Rs 3500 as the compensation. Moral(s) of the story: - Fill in the insurance declaration form carefully with appropriate valuations. Don’t let anyone rush you through it. - Get furniture dis-assembled to the extent you can - especially for particle board or MDF stuff. - In case of damage/claims, follow the official process of reporting damages accurately. Take photos and preserve/store the broken pieces/evidence. - Be ready for a long haul battle - and don’t give up, you have the Consumer Laws to help you get your rightful amount for damages.

I relocated from Chennai to Delhi - was told that A.Cs Fridges T.V , Computer,DVD would all be crated in the warehouse but were not. Was also charged accordingly. Goods were to have been stored in Chennai but arrived in Delhi on 30th June while I was being assured by Chennai office that goods were still in Chennai warehouse. My car took one month to arrive instead of the 10 days promised. Insurance for relocation paid by me was Rs 8000/- - damages incurred were over Rs 20,000/- (fridge damaged, music system damaged, imported crockery broken, trolley and one chair smashed). Promises made by the company that repair work and compensation would be paid immediately are a bunch of lies which I have now discovered. I was then informed by Mr. VyasCustomer Care that only Rs 5000/- would be paid provided I send a mail to this effect. The mail was sent on 10th September and resent on 20th September and I am yet to receive the cheque (Rs 5000/- to be received by me after paying Rs 8000/- as premium!!). Mr Vyas has no answers when I call... am asked to call the next day... again no answer and now does not take my or my wife’s calls. Despite mailing V.P North have received no reply. USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN PERIL - THEY ARE TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND IRRESEPONSIBLE. THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN RELOCATION THAT I HAVE EVER HAD. Kishore Datta

My experience with Agarwal Packers and Movers is very -very horrific. Apart of all those charecterstics i.e. material shortages at the time of packing, late coming to start the packing, keep on working late night w/o bothering the time of the customer, full advance payment, the most horrific is extortionist attitude of the staff at each step. They are only bothering for money and not interested to complete the job. There is no responsible person working for the customer. They never come forward to update the status of the logistics OR the consignments. Only concern is the money snatching at each and every occasion. Recently, It happens to me that the staff is asking the money for delivering the house hold items at my place despite I have paid the full amount at the starting point as dooor to door delivery. It was told that the items will be delivered only after the upfront payment of the said amount. They are keeping hold of the items at there ware house. It was really horrific. The staff has stolen all the petrol from the Car, damaged the good during the transportation. It is my SINCERE Advise to ALL that BEWARE of dealing with Agrawal Movers and Packers.

For our move from Mumbai to Ahmedabad in early June, we decided to hire Agarwal Packers and Movers, at Rs. 16,000 the most expensive of the 4 packers and movers we interviewed, thinking we would see what service good payment could get us. It turned out we paid to learn which movers to avoid in future. The whole process began on a bad note. There was a 2.5 hr delay because of our address having been wrongly entered by their person who came to book our order [Carelessness in basic but important record-keeping]. This delay was to prove very costly: we had Agarwal Packers and Movers View next photo a 10pm train to catch and they had assured us when taking our order that packing and loading would be over by 6pm latest. It then turned out that they were also two people short of the 5 they had promised us would come for packing [not keeping their word]. And as if that were not enough, half way through the packing they discovered that they had run out of packing crates [unbelievably inadequate planning]! They phoned their office to have more material (boxes, packing material) sent and were toldit would be 5pm to arrive. Now panicking for the very real possibility of missing our train, my wife and I ourselves sat down with their packing person to pack our belongings ! Not a word of apology or gratitude to us for having to do their job for them. [No training in basic social courtesies, no concern for customer]. We had to finally resort to calling my wife’s brother out from his office to oversee the packing and despatch the truck in our absence. At the point of leaving, the supervisor asked us to make payment first. We took out Rs. 8,000 (50%) as payment for which we were pointed out by him that full payment is required before despatch [Extortionist terms]. We discovered to our disbelief that the fine print on the contract did say so [Our fault: not reading fine print]. Our experiences with other movers has always been that half is paid before despatch at source and half after unpacking at destination. We wasted almost another hour of our time in protracted arguing with the packing supervisor present and with the company officers on phone demanding to know how such a one-sided contract was expected of us. We offered 50% as fair payment considering the many mishaps and shoddy service of the day which was resulting in our almost missing our train, only to have them reply shockingly rudely "Who told you to book a train for the same night?" and "If you don’t pay, the truck won’t leave"[holding customer to ransom]. We were reduced to shouting at them to understand that the customer can’t be left paying the entire amount plus leaving his entire belongings in their custody. He finally deigned to accept 75% payment and we could leave just in time to have bath, dinner, and catch our train. The horrible experience at the hands of Agarwal had destroyed all the good mood we wanted to be in during the move. We were traumatised at being humiliated and held to ransom by the moving company and being treated like people off the street (my wife and I are professors). In that hour before leaving, we had to sign the insurance papers he made out. We were not explained the terms of the insurance (very vital for story ending later) except to be told that it covered damage or loss in transit, and the list of items he made out was barely understandable, his English was so bad. From his speech and writing the supervisor might not even be a 10th pass, and he is making out insurance papers! [inadequately qualified personnel] Throughout the packing there was no systematic method of packing (ordering/sorting/grouping/...), recording what was being packed, listing value (for insurance), etc, things that we could have very easily suggested to them how to do their job. [No competence in their own job of packing] Our stuff reached Ahmedabad on day 4 instead of day 2 ! When the truck arrived at our new house there was water all over the floor of the truck (it had rained on the way) and the plastic crates and cardboard boxes containing our stuff were all seen to be standing in water. Once they started unloading, here were the sad procedures and outcomes of the unpacking service we paid for: 1. Many of our belongings (mattresses, books, files) were wet with water. There are water stains on them to this day. 2. The so-called unpacking service we had paid for consisted of two people given no tools to do unpacking, not even a blade or knife. They were cutting open duct tape by jabbing at it with screwdrivers or keys, and tougher cords with their teeth (see photo). 3. Liquids (like cooking oil) they packed had spilt all over the other contents of their crate. We had packed liquids after being assured by their packing personnel that it was OK to pack liquids and that they knew how to pack them. 4. The last straw: water came dripping out of our PC ! Out of the CPU, out of the keyboard and out of the monitor. This after these were wrapped (obviously not perfectly) in plastic and put in a plastic crate. The unpackers and driver who upto that time were claiming that everything was usual and minor, were red-faced on seeing the water dripping out of the computer and realised that they had no explanation or excuse for it. This ended up permanently damaging the LAN card and the USB card. I had the foresight to remove the hard disk and carrying it with me separately. We stood vindicated for our refusal of paying 100% payment up front. If we had paid all, we would never have seen the Agarwal people again, after all the damage they caused to us – physical and mental. It was just because we had Rs. 4,000 yet to pay that their office even called us. The Ahmedabad man was civil and courteous and offered to repay us the charges for repairs on the computer. We thought that was our right since we had insurance (for which we were congratulating ourselves), but were stunned to learn from him that our insurance did not cover it. We were told that rain (such a common and costly spoiler) is not covered in their transit insurance, and that an insurance 10 times more costly has to be purchased for it. We were told that we should have booked what is called a Mobile Home (= covered truck). We told him that at the time of booking the order, that is what we had wanted but were assured by their own man that it was not necessary, a normal open truck with tarpaulin was sufficient. Agarwal fails in all respects: i) respect to customer, ii) care, training, and competence in their job, iii) fairness of policy, iv) professional ethics. While deciding whether to engage them, please remember that their basic service (already the most expensive) is inadequate – to that you have to add cost of comprehensive insurance and cost of Mobile Home if you want to avoid our experience and come out without losses. If you can still afford them, remember that they do not know packing, especially liquids. Remember to leave a full day between their departure and yours. Remember that they lie about when their consignment would reach. Take it in writing from them if possible, with your own compensatory clauses for breach of promise. After all that, you will still be left with paying 100% upfront even before the truck leaves.

If you really want to take care of your household products and move it safely from one place to other; then please do not even think of AGARWAL PACKERS AND MOVERS. I really had a terrible experience one year back with these people when I shifted my home from one location to other within chennai. They came to my home at 9 in the morning. and finished all the packaging work within 2 hours. The problem started just after that. The van didn’t come on time and even after 1 in the afternoon we were waiting for the van to come. Then, I called the chennai office and they said to me , "Your van is on the way. It will reach your home within 2 p.m." Then, two more hours passed. I called the same chennai office again and the reply was same. Now instead of 2 p.m. they changed the time to 4 p.m. They really didn’t tell me the real picture of what happened to the van and what was the reason for delay. Then, I got the van driver number from one of their workers who came for packaging. When I contacted the van driver, I was really shocked to know that he was attending another shifting order at the same time allocated by the company to undertake my shifting order. These things didn’t happen without the knowledge of the chennai office. What they did is; they had booked 2 orders for the same time and they decided to cheat one of the two customers by keeping them waiting for many hours. They also decided to provide false hope to the waiting customer. Then, when I called some higher authority in the same chennai office, he said to me "It’s natural that some delay would happen due to traffic congestion. You please adjust.". He hadn’t told me the truth; even during that call. Then, I decided to wait patiently for my turn. At 6 p.m., the van came. Then they reached my new apartment at 9 p.m. Then I decided that, my turn has come. After they moved all my goods to my new flat; at 11 p.m. , they provided me the bill. They had quoted the same amount in the bill which they told me at the time of order booking. Then, I started arguing to that packaging people that It was not possible for me to pay the amount they shown due to the mental trauma and agony I faced from their service. The packaging people told me that I was not allowed to do that and I had to pay the full amount. Then, I called their chennai office manager; whose number had been provided to me by the packaging people. The manager also told that I had to pay the entire amount and there was no room for any discount. Then, I decided not to pay even a single rupee till I get justice and I told the packaging people that It was not possible to pay even a single rupee until their manager resolves this issue. Then, they threatened me that they would take back all my things to the place from where it had been shifted from. They also threatened me of legal action. I was stubborn in my decision and I told them to do whatever they could do. The manager again called me and asked me to pay the entire amount. I told that It was not possible and I said to him "In the morning, your staff asked me to adjust for the inconvenience caused by your service and now you people adjust for the inconvenience caused by me." After a long argument they decided to cut down Rs.1000/- I expected more but it was already 11.30 p.m. and nobody in my family took dinner till that time. So, I paid the amount. Then after the packaging people gone home, I had noticed that many items had been broken during their packaging and travelling. I decided on that day that we should never call this packers and movers once again.

I felt I should write this review because: 1. People typically write reveiws for packers and movers only when they have had bad experiences. 2. I have moved 8 times in the last 9 years and have experienced 5-6 different packers and movers including some national and some local ones. Disclaimer: This reveiw is specifically for the Chennai branch of Agarwal Packers and Movers (APM) and for a local within Chennai move. I understand from other users that service levels could vary widely from one location to another depending on the newness of the team. 1. Pre-move: Most P&Ms have a tendency to quote a flat rate for a local move. Then they come home and realize that the stuff is a lot more than they expected and start sulking or asking for more money. APM was very professional. Their person came for a review after fixing an appointment. Went about his job professionally. Asked relevant questions and gave us a quote. The quote was higher than what the local P&Ms would charge but given our entire experience we were very happy we used APM. 2. Packing, Loading and Moving The previous day one of their people called and said they will reach by 10:30 on the day of the move. They reached at 10:15 am. Since the time of the review we had changed the apartment that we were moving to. Now instead of an 11th floor with lift we were moving to a 2nd floor without lift. They did not comment or complain at all nor did they ask for anything extra. There were 7 people who were all wearing the uniform and conducted themselves very professionally. No foul language, no shouting at each other etc. The planning of the move was such that they packed most of the big stuff and started moving it to the new location while the loads of crockery we had was being packed by the 1 person they left behind. The crockery was immaculately packed. Not a single chip or break. They used very good piping to protect the sides of the glass table top that we had for our dining table. They also kept one room that we could use while the rest of the place was being packed. They were very open to our requests for packing some things that we needed for our baby towards the end. 3. Unloading and unpacking The staircase of the new place was very narrow so they had to carry a lot of stuff almost at head level. I could see them struggling but again not a word of complaint. They unpacked everything, placed everything where we asked them to, re-assembled the bed and basically did everything that made the place livable on the first night itself. All in all it was the best moving experience for us and we would definitely use them for our next move (hopefully not for some time!).

I got a transfer from Hyderabad to Mumbai. At that point time I had to search for the Packers & Movers in the City who can shift all my Household Items through Safe Custody as most of my items are Imported & Obviously I’m much more Possessive about all my things Then after going thru various Packers & Movers Advertisements I got Impressed by Agarwal Packers & Movers the Salesman who explained me about the whole procedure of theirs of shifting & arranging I was very much impressed by what all he told. Then I gave them the Contract. Ultimately the Packing day came and a team of 5 Men came along with their Supervisor .They packed my entire Household items like Washing Machine,LCD,PC,etc. in a box sealed with Agarwal Packers & Movers Stickers. Then they loaded it very carefully in the Vehicle in a very Careful way. All the goods reached Mumbai on the 3rd day once they reached they unpacked all the items very carefully & Arranged in such a best manner that in the future also If Im suggesting for any Packers & Movers I’ll suggest for Agarwal Packers & Movers for their best Service they gave.

As I was abt to shift my home from Mumbai To Himachal. I was very much worried to whom should I give the Contract that is to which Packers & Movers So that they dont spoil my valuable Items. As I’ve heard various times that some Packers & Movers damage the items sent through them which made a great loss for us. And at that time I was suggested to go for Agarwal Packers & Movers. After thinking a lot atlast I planned to go for Agarwal Packers & Movers for the 1st time. And the experience I had at that time was amazing the packers were so careful while packing & they packed in such a best way that I thought I never took a wrong decision by chosing Agarwal Packers & Movers. Our Whole Family was more than happy by their Customer Service. They knew rthe importance of each & every household items they were packing & moving. My mindset for Packers & Movers which was there was totally changed by Agarwal Packers & Movers. In all they are the best for their Professionalism & Accuracy.

My experience was really really bad and i would not suggest anyone to use these guys. They delayed a lot in seding the good and they commited that they will send in time. They charged me really HIGH !!!Their customer care is really BAD, they just need money !!!!! I would not suggest anyone to go for this ever. Their was a person named Mukesh Agarwal he was very rude, don’t know what to do and show himself as very high-fy guy. He does not behave properly and don’t have any Manners !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was shifing from Delhi to Bangalore and used their service, they told me that this will be deliverd in 5 days but took almost a month, also they said when i booked rate were less and now rates are high so you have to pay some more money :-( I got wild and shouted on them in response they broke my TV and started mis-behaving with my mom and dad. I would never recommend anyone to go for this. -Sunil Mittal

Recently we had to transport our car from mumbai to gurgaon. We selected Agarwal because we had heard they were the best in the market. So we went for them in spite of the fact that they were considerably costlier than competition. But the transportation was bad and the customer service was lousy. 1) the car was in really bad shape as if it had been driven half way 2) there were scratches in the back as if it had been bumped 3) the mileage showed that it had been driven 70 kms though we were told that it would not be driven more than 20 kms. Moreover when we complained we were told that it was never this muddy when it was delivered. The scratches were present during loading. (The car did have minor scratches while loading but never this serious and that too black colour ones.) And the unloading person in Gurgaon said that the petrol was much more while it was delivered implying that we had used it. Why would we wate time complaining and lying to them without any cause is beyond my comprehension. We realized they were a bunch of liars and cheats. They have too many internal fights between their city teams. I was kept on concalls so many times between the rivalries of internal teams. And my problem is still not resolved. We are doing all the repairing at our own expense. If you want to save money stay away from the hype and agarwal movers and packers. Not worth it.

Kindly note that I do not hold any personal grudge against Agarwal Packers and Movers. It is just that I am a highly disappointed customer. I was moving from Kolkata to Bangalore so I had contacted Agarwal Packers and Movers for transfer of my household stuff, in first week of April. The initial response was quite prompt and they gave me a quotation of Rs.29,000, for part loading. Though this was much higher than the other competitors and I spite of reading unpleasant experience of many people, I trusted and finalized Agarwal’s quotation. The quotation was given by their Field supervisor Jitendra. During finalization of quotation it was being confirmed that we will be making 70% payment in Kolkata and 30% after delivery in Bangalore, though they had asked for 100% payment while loading in Kolkata. Jitendra, the field supervisor, had spoken to his boss Virendra, branch head, regarding payment clarification. I had informed him that I’ll be moving in the last week of April and will confrim him the date of packing in 2-3 weeks. The said immediately after receiving my confirmation things will be done. Unknown about their unprofessionalism I was free from this tension. Never did I know that my trust on this so called renowned packer would be crushed. After repeated calls to Jitendra regarding finalizing the date he turned up to meet in person. Every time I called their office in Kolkata I was being asked for the quotation no and was promised a call back within 5 mins, which never happened. Just a day before the packing date I received a call from Virendra saying that they had never agreed on 70-30 payment. I had completely lost on him by now, still I kept my cool and said Jitendra and he himself had confirmed me regarding the payment to be made in 70-30. Virendra bluntly denied having said so and disconnected. Later I received call from Jitendra saying they are fine if 70% payment is paid while loading and 30% before delivery in Bangalore. I was unable to understand the reason behind such demand. I was being ditched a day before the final packing was supposed to happen. I thought better to stay away from such cheaters who are creating so many hassles in just finalizing payment options. Never know what they might do once my entire stuff is with them. So all you buddies reading this review beware of this company making false claims and promises!!!

I booked my entire household items from Gurgaon to Hyderabad using Agarwal movers and Packers in March 08. It reached Hyderabad within the time limit given by them.....but... When I saw it......I found that every items which could have broken was broken...except for my Cloths. Even my Bookd and Files had road side dust in them and were torn apart as if someone has thouwn them on the dground ruthlessly. My dining Table, My Fridge, Gas Stove, TV, Sony home Theatre, Sofa Set, TV Table, Study Table, Two double beds, entire crockery......were broken.. I had paid them 3% extra for so called "insurance" ..whihc only later I found that is not actually insured....they only would "repair" it..and not replace it....Some items whihc are completely torn aprt, they say that they’d give me money (75%) of actual value declared...only).....It’d been 6 weeks now since I have been calling this bundle of bastards....at Agarwal....but they are still to resolve it.... I advise everyone to stay away from this mover & "breaker".......instead book Interem ....who are professional...to the core...

I had a real nightmare with this company.......... 1. we moved our house from kolkata to mumbai and booked a big container. but these ppl send us the small one and charged for the big one. 2. when we got the container in mumbai, we had kept the cheque ready for the payment (Half payment was done in advance). but the unloader refused to accept the cheque saying that he got instructions from Mr. Rohtak (Mumbai Incharge), that the payment has to be made in cash. we then spoke to Mr Rohtak, and told him that it was printed on the invoice as well that the payment has to be made in cheque. but he refused to accept the cheque and blackmailed us that he will take the container back to the godown. we then had to arrange fr the cash payment immediately. 3. when we opened the container the containers locks were already broken & also the luggage was in a pathetic condition, all broken. what about the insurance which they claim that it would be given. 4. my mother then called this mr. rohtak several times fr repairing the furniture. but he refused to answer or even speak politely. he does not even know how to talk to a women..........bloody cheats This is the height of cheating............i am sure these ppl cant continue much longer if we consumers raise voice in media and expose these ppl.........................

was going through reviews for Agarwal movers and packers and I am going to mention what I had experienced with them. When it was finalised that we would be moving to Pune from Bangalore, I had called 4 to 5 movers and packers. Let me tell you "Agarwal" was the most expensive. And it was visible significant difference. I had done little bit of reasearch and finalised with Agarwal at the end. Main reason behind going for Agarwal that, at the time of moving my luggage, it was not possible for me to be in Bangalore as I had to come to Pune 14 days prior. So I didnt want problem for my wife at the time of moving the goods. On goods moving day, people came at 10 in place of 8. Now My goods was more and guy from Agarwal told that it will take more time so they would be coming at 8 in the morning. But they came at 10. But they came with all preparations. Just my wife had to supervise them and all of them have done wonderful jobs. All my goods were packed nicely. By evening 6:30 they had finished packagin and loading also. In the Bangalore only, we had do to the complete payment. The goods were packed and loaded on 15th December, They told that you will be geeting the goos in Pune on 17th Dec by 12 noon. I got the goods in Pune at 11:30 noon. 4 people came to unload and rearrange the goods. Those people were also very co-operative. One of the guy was even helping my wife to arrange kitchen items. What I mean to say is however small item is, they arrange for you. Now only 1 wall-peice (made of caly) was broken which costed me 1200/-. But I guess thats ok. I was impressed with thee through professional attitude. And even I had made 100% payment in Bangalore in pune all guys were nice. they didnt show any hurry and they did all the stuff what we told nicely. From this experience, I have decided to go for Agarwal only in the future also.

I have had a terrible experience moving from mumbai to bangalore. Firstly the sales guy told me that my fridge and washing machine would be packed in wooden crates. When the bunch of jokers came on the day of packing they just put in carton box. I told them that the sales guy had promised about wooden crates. So i called that sales guy again at that instant. Then he told me they would take it to the godown and pack it in wooden crates there. I asked the packing guy is that so, but he declined(atleast he was honest). I told the sales guy that your person himself is saying that it wouldnt be packed in crates. So he asked me to hand over the phone to him and he just blasted him saying "you should not tell the customer anything like that..." The nightmare doesnt end there. When my goods reached bangalore...the base of the fridge was broken and the washing maching wasnt working and the door of my deewan was completely smashed as if they threw it from the first floor of a building. When i complained them they sent a carpenter to my house. He fixed the deewan but he cudnt do anything abt the fridge. So they paid me a pittance of 500 as compensation. The base of the fridge can never be repaired and now it is standing with some wooden plates support. Regarding the washing machine they stated adamantly that it might not be working from the begining. I wouldnt suggest anyone to go for this buggers. I have heard Leo Packers are much better.

Step by Step - I moved from Bangalore to Gurgaon 1. Get quote - the sales guy ( Deepak Sinha ) will promise to repair or replace for any damage . Will justify why agarwal is atleast 20% costlier than other packers . 2. These guys in Gurgaon could not track my goods.....the contact number given by Agarwall Delhi Person - Mr.Ajay Nagara / Eshwar will give you another number which is 24 x 7 engaged . 3. Got my car in a pathetic state. All seats wet and soaked with thick layer of clay. When i asked the driver about it he says this is how they got from Mumbai. He charged Rs 1200/- --- says cops fined him for driving KA registered vehicle and they did not give him the receipt. 4. Best part - My goods...they did manage to break the lock of my steel cupboard also and with dents all over. My T.V. was dmaged, fridge, Mirrors, trolley..etc. Most of them cant be repaired and damage loss of atleast 8K . 5. After follow-up calls - a insurance surveyor comes Mr.Sunil ( a carpenter by profession ) he got the value of damaged goods for Rs.500/- and for total insurance of 1 lac. Over that he will ask you for tips. 6. Every body including supervisor will threaten you if you don’t shell out atleast Rs100/- per person. 7. Supervisor ( A.K.Mishra - Blore ) at the time of loading will divide your 1 lac( insurance ) , out of which clothes and utensils for 80K , which will not be damaged , and TV for 1 K, W.M -1k, Fridge-1K, Glass Diniing table -1k . Country head - Mr.Nagasainathan nor the head office nor anybody will not listen to your concerns. I had tried Leo Packers earlier and they are very good . One of my colleagues had warned me on agarwal packers...but it was too late . He had recommended P and M . Good luck guys.....and dont expect to get your goods in as is condition. And definitely not with Agarwal packers.....because they will drag your goods and not carry it .

It is almost worst experience. I shifted my household things from delhi to pune I had only 4-5 main things.Steel almarah,Zuari TV STAND, Water cooler, Samsung Refg. I recived every thing broken. I insured all the things but when I signed their papers I for get to see the value of each items. The supervisor filled the value as he wish. Although I insured for ONE Lac, I got Rs.2500-/- only because the supervisor valued the cloth and plastic buckets for high and all expensive for low value. for eg: plastic buckets Rs. 500 and for Zuari Tv Stand(Rs.7000-/-) he mentioned Rs.1000 and steel almarah Rs.2500 etc The highlight of this the bribe demanded and taken by the supervisor. When I complained about this to country head he teaching me the Ghandigiri about the bribe. This thick skined never feels shame for the things SO Pls dont take chance with is packers

A very disappointing incident I have experienced with our packers and movers. 2 of our largest meeting tables (also the most expensive ones) have scratch on the table top and table legs. I am not sure if the insurance will cover for them
