I transferred my goods from Chennai to Banglaore 18-Jul-08. After comparing different packers and their respective quotations I selected this stupid packers due to their good name in market though they quoted max among all. They have a policy of collecting the whole amount of transfer in advance so that if there are any damages we can’t retain any amount from initial agreed figure. They insist to go for an insurance that is again an additional income for them. Even with all these conditions in place they assured me of transferring the goods safely without any damages. On the day when the items were transferred it was my last day in earlier company so I was not present personally during packing and loading. While receving the items in Bangalore I found they have used a truck from some 3rd grade road side transporter pating peanuts. The truck was not having any kind of covering on top. On the way to bangalore there were rain and that caused major damages to all my goods. As I paid all amount in advance there were nothing that I could have done...and after calling their customer care number they dint took interest as job is already done and it was not about giving a new assignment. I would suggest to STRICTLY AVAOID GOEL PACKERS for any kind of transfer. Hope it saves someone from getting victimized by them in future.

I urge all in this forum never to engage your household goods through Goel Packers & Movers. The company is callous and does not have any respect to the time limits and safety and security of your hosehold items. I have engaged them for my hosehold and car movement to Pune from Calcutta. This was done on 30th May On enquiring about the movement I was told that the hosehold and car would reach to me by 10th June. To my horror, I was later told by the branch manager of Calcutta (after having resigned from Goel) that my luggage did not start from Calcutta as late as 12th of June. Only when the matter was escalated to Mr. Atul Sharma (newly appointed CEO) did it set out from Calcutta on 13th June only to reach by 17th June. Mr. Sharma is the only professional manager in the entire Ashok Goel run fiefdom. No body cares a hoot about you. Please do not get mislead by net presence of the company. The claims are all hum bug and sham. My Honda city got damaged and despite having paid insurance ot Goel, I had to seek the clain from TATA AIG and that too after having had to spend another 16 K at authorised Honda workshop. Forget aboot this packers and movers even it comes for free.

AFTER READING ALL THE REVIEWS ABOUT GOEL MOVERS AND PACKERS I AM REMINDED OF MY PERSONAL BITTER EXPERIENCE WITH THEM WHICH DATES BACK TO 2005. I HAD MOVED FROM DELHI TO BANGALORE. 1) I PAID FOR A CONTAINER TRUCK WHERE AS MY GOODS ARRIVED IN AN ORDINARY SMALL TRUCK. 2) ALL HOUSEHOLD GOODS WERE ONE ON TOP OF THE OTHER HENCE MAJORITY OF THE GOODS WERE DAMAGED. 3)ALTHOUGH I HAD GOT AN INSURANCE DONE BUT A DAMAGE CERTIFICATE WAS REQD FROM THE MOVER AND PACKER TO CLAIM INSURANCE. I HAD TO MAKE OVER 100 CALLS TO THEM TO GET MY CASE MOVING. 4) Mr GOEL WAS EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNSYMPATHETIC AND EVEN THREATENED ME BY MENTIONING HIS CONTACTS WITH HIGH PROFILE POLITICIANS WHEN I SAID THAT I MAY MOVE TO CONSUMER COURT. 5) MY CAR WAS DELIVERED IN A VERY BAD CONDITION WITH DENTS ON THE BODY AND VERY STRONG SMELL OF CIGARETTE INSIDE AND CIGRATTE ASH EVERYWHERE. THE SPEEDOMETER/ODOMETER WIRE WAS DISCONNNECTED.NOT JUST THAT I HAD PAID FOR DELIVERY OF CAR AT THE DOORSTEP WHEREAS HANDLING HIS AGENTS AT BANGALORE KEPT INSISTING THAT I COME AND COLLECT THE VEHICLE FROM SOME GOD FORESAKEN PLACE.

The goel movers and packers are the worst. They ask for full payment in advance and then dont deliver goods on time. There is no synchronization between the offices. They hire poor transport trucks for transport of goods. The manager(DK Sharma) at delhi office behaves unproffesionaly, he does not pick up the phone after making even 36 calls. He even did not pay the turck wala the full money. My Scooter was scratched, kitchen rach had bends, dining table chair seat had worn out, they broke my scenery glass. Many goods were damaged and you have to run after them for claims but in vain. Over all poorest service one can imagine. I am thinking of filing a case in consumer court. I reccomend not to hire them if you care about your time and goods. never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never never use their service.

They are pathetic then worst... they spoiled my new goods and more over the owner Mr. Ashok Goels relative is 2nd head in office he was pathetic ( Mr. Shitij Goel ).... I have already filled a complaint in Consumer court... just know remember to follow up ... i will follow up and take them to court .. All these peoples are White court Theives... The people who don’t know they make there life hell ... My story is long thats why i am not attaching here but believe me GOEL PACKERS AND MOVERS keep there employees those who are big gundas... i will name name few ( Mr. tripathi - Chennai, Mr. Dinesh - Delhi, Mr. Rajesh - Chandigarh, the head of customer care department on lady etc ) we should take a step forward to bring atleast this company a lockout by consumer court... and also let us take initiative that how ever we meet let us say them atleast so that at least they don’t get business and they bear huge losses and they come on road.

I would like to share with you my very bad experience with "Goel Packers and Movers" . I contacted them to move 7 cartons from Calcutta to Gurgaon. They took all the money in advance and promised to transport all the goods in a maximum of 10 days. However they gave me only 6 cartons after 3 weeks at 12 o clock in the night and after calling them up 20-30 times.They damaged a good worth Rs 3000 . and on calling them up to claim insurance they said they would not do it since they you have to tell them at the time of delivery which I could not do so late at night.So not give me any insurance despite me paying them Rs 1500 in insurance premium.The 7th carton they gave me after a full one month on 22nd Novermber after another 20 calls.I implore any potential customer of packer services to avoid goel packer and movers like the plague as they treat customers like trash.

They were very prompt enough to take all the money in advance. However, they were very slow in responding once they delivered my car with a broken silencer. It was me who has to call them everytime to do something about it. They finally paid attention and got it fixed BUT THAT AFTER I MAKING NUMEROUS CALLS FOR FOLLOWING UP. I chose them as I read on their website about them beng ISO 9000 company. However, I was left unsatisfied towards the end. Also, my car was delivered WITHOUT WASHING and cleaning which they promised that they would do before delivering. Those of you who are thinking of getting your car transported, please ask for a checklist and make yourself doubly confirmed about the terms and conditions. Don’t forget to read their policies regarding the damages. And, nothing in air, but everything should be on paper before you decide for any car transportation company including ISO companies such as Agrawal and Goel & packers. The sad part is IT WAS ALL ME WHO WAS CALLING THEM TO ASK FOR UPDATES POST DELIVERY. PLEASE DO NOT PAY WHOLE MONEY IN ADVANCE. OR ELSE, YOU WONT HAVE MUCH SAY IN THE END AND HAVE TO DEPEND ON THE TRANSPORTING GUYS.
